Although it already seems like that's what Slayers is. Correction, there was a listing on Xbox.com saying the game was 2-6 players co-op, and 8-players multiplayer (versus). People assumed it was Mercenaries. However, Mercs is still 2-players. There are crossover events with 4-players in the campaign, and Agent Hunt Mode is 4-players as well. Resident Evil 5 has the better co-op in making you actually work together and feel like a team. The co-op in Resident Evil 6 feels unnatural somehow. It still can be played completely solo without even an AI partner as it was originally, they added the partner character cuz people asked for co-op in Ada's campaign.
I replayed this game this year playing solo and it's such a different experience. Playing this game online coop is the ideal experience. I remember thinking the game was a solid 8/10 when I played it the first time (all chapters in online coop) Playing it solo this year was a test of patience. The AI is not able to pull their own weight.

There are partner commands if you press the arrow keys or if you press and hold V. If your partner says "Go!" you can answer by holding V and pressing W for "Okay" and S for "No". At least the game tells you to do so. But it doesnt work. I know figured out that V+F is "No" (only after partner command).
